The pigeon cartoons are just not working out for me. The neatly drawn ones look too realistic so I couldn't imagine them talking or having an engaging personality. The scrappy pigeons look ill and I don't fancy exposing readers to infected birds. The best bird I have drawn is the duck for Berbank's tea on a bench. There I managed to make a duck that was slightly human, but not in a Disney, big eyes and lashes type way, but in a fairly original way. So I took Matt's face and ducked it up. Then Matt and myself workshopped some names and came up with 'Webster' for him and 'Beak' for me. We wanted to protect our anonymity.
